ACCESS needs more changes

ACCESS v9.1 release on 12-12-12 is coupled with some tweaks on the Student Portal.

Some comments and suggestions have reached us that the JSMenu implementation is slow.

Someone even suggested: "Most of us students wants the old ACCESS back" with the Academic Scholar List and Available Schedule menu items that have been removed.

Rest assured, we will not put back the "old" ACCESS. Instead, we will keep improving and add more functions into it with the goal to serve its clientele better and faster.

The v9.1 release includes some security patches based on daily log reports, recommendations, and suggestions from the "community". The menu now uses the old drop-down structure. The Academic Scholars List and Schedule Search is now back.

With your feedback (suggestions, comments, reports and complaints), you are helping us improve the system.

Protect your account, get a new password

Development Update  [ October 2, 2012]
or if you have forgotten it

Password should be sacred -- private and only the holder is allowed to use it. at the same time, like an underwear, it has to be hidden from others and should be changed regularly.

A two-step request-and-change procedure is now implemented on http://my.lorma.edu/access/. First, you fill out the Forgot-Password form and a message is sent to your registered email address. The message contains information that requires your confirmation to change the password. Finally, following the link specified in the email, another message containing your newly generated password is sent to your email.

Prerequisite of the procedure is a properly identified active email address associated with your account. Any modification you do on your profile will be subject for review during enrollment. Make sure to make the necessary modifications before you come and enroll. Just mention to the enrolling staff that your profile needs some updates and you have filled for the necessary data.

We'd like to hear your suggestions, comments, including problems you encounter with the system. Send them to access@lorma.edu.

Student Portal Moves

Development Update  [ September 5, 2012]
Incumbent domain has to go

Use http://my.lorma.edu instead of http://lorma.access.ph for students and parents/guardians.

For faculty/staff, use http://access2011 or http://192.168.216.229 when in-campus or http://access.lorma.edu when off-campus.

Faculty/staff need to be activated and allowed explicitly to use http://access.lorma.edu.
